EXPERIENCE

Digital Designer Prindable Settlements, Freelance Sept 2023 - Current Chicago, Illinois- Remote

  • Collaborating with another UX designer, we are redesigning Prindable Settlements website.

  • Figma, FigJam, Miro, Square Space

  • Started with information architecture, evolving user experience to then test through wireframes, mockups, and the new Prindable Settlements website.

  • Observations:  In collaboration with the co-founders, we are diligently developing a modernized website that articulately conveys the ethos and value proposition of Prindable Settlements. Our primary focus is on ensuring a seamless user experience by addressing identified pain points and updating the user interface to contemporary standards.

  • Outcome: Coming Soon!

Digital Designer CIRKEL, Freelance Aug 2023 - Sept 2023 - 2 months Berlin, Germany - Remote

  • In this collaboration, the main goal is the development of a dashboard specifically designed for organizers of peer groups who offer courses, programs, and content. The dashboard will allow organizers to add content, monitor challenges and questions as they arise, and utilize data to drive and refine their practice.

  • Figma, FigJam

  • Completed all parts of the design process, from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping.

  • Observations: Through testing, users agreed that metric features need to be kept simple. Metric options were also appreciated. Users wanted to see their data at a singular point and aggregated over time. Creating context and an experience that kept the user engaged while onboarding was another challenge that we had to design for during this collaborative exploration.

  • Outcome: Through this project, I've gleaned invaluable insights into the power of collaboration. It's become clear to me that effective peer group organizers highly value structure, metrics, and the capacity to adapt in real time. When coupled with an interface that fosters trust and a sense of belonging among peers, it creates a dynamic and immersive virtual environment that truly drives enterprise and engagement.

UX/UI Design Fellow Oct 2022 – Sept 2023

  • 1:1 expert mentor oversight and completion of three in-depth portfolio projects.

DIGITAL DESIGN PROJECTS

Manage Medical

  • A concept designed to support people in managing their medical experiences.

  • Figma, FigJam, Creately, Marvel

  • Completed all parts of the design process, from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping.

  • Observations: There are basic features an app like this must have to be successful: a seamless system for creating profiles, the functionality of setting appointments, updating prescriptions, and accessing medical records.

  • Outcome: Patients want to prepare, be empowered, and feel competent regarding their medical experience.

PostUp

  • A design sprint to help remote workers find great workplaces between meetings.

  • Figma, Artboard Studio

  • Started with analysis of interview data to high-fidelity prototyping.

  • Observations: Conducting a design sprint was enriching for me. The structured nature of the process allowed me to create a streamlined app that resonated well with testers. Users found the app to be straightforward and low in cognitive load.

  • Outcome: What's particularly exciting is that the app has a broad appeal. Not only did it serve its intended purpose for remote workers, but it also proved helpful to brick-and-mortar workers seeking a quiet space as well as students.

Sublime

  • Given business goals, create a solution for subscription consolidation.

  • Figma, Marvel, Artboard Studio

  • Completed all parts of the design process, from discovery to high-fidelity prototyping.

  • Observations: Distinguishing genuine user recommendations from subjective opinions and technical constraints was crucial in shaping the final product. This process underscored the importance of thorough testing and careful consideration in enhancing user experience.

  • Outcome: When conducting the first user test remotely, I was skeptical of the initial insights. There were extensive questions about the testing platform, and directions were perceived differently by some people. The second test, conducted in person, provided a deeper understanding of user suggestions. The iterative process following both trials resulted in minor refinements.
